Our data privacy statement

ProCert thanks you for visiting our website www.procert.ch and for your interest in our company. We take the protection and security of your personal data entrusted to us seriously and would like you to feel safe and comfortable when visiting our Internet pages and using our services.

It is important to us that you know which personal data is collected when you make use of our offers and services and how we use it.

Purpose of data processing

ProCert is a service company. The range of services includes audits, certifications and further training. Insofar as ProCert processes personal data, this is done for the above purpose.

Processing of personal data

We collect and process the following information about you as a business partner: title, surname, first name, function, country, e-mail address, your direct telephone number and possibly your address (billing and business address). You provide us with this information directly as part of your enquiry or cooperation.

We collect and process salutation, surname, first name, e-mail address and country in order to process information on standards.

Personal data can be found in audit reports, which are only addressed to you, the clients, and can be requested by the accreditation body SAS, the standard owners or other authorized authorities (see disclosure to third parties).

Other purposes

Personal data is also processed if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example in the context of an enquiry or a booking or when ordering information material or a newsletter. If, as described above, we process your data for the purpose of receiving and processing your respective enquiry, booking or (newsletter) order, you are contractually obliged to provide us with this data.

Without this data, we are not in a position to carry out the corresponding processing. If you have consented to the processing of personal data, you can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

Passing on to third parties

Your information may be transferred internally from headquarters to the appropriate ProCert office for processing and from the office to the headquarters. They will be further processed there depending on the service you request.

We do not pass your data on to third parties.

In addition, your personal data will be forwarded without your express consent to the law enforcement authorities and possibly to injured third parties if it is necessary to clarify an illegal use of our services or for prosecution. However, this only happens if there are concrete indications of illegal or abusive behaviour.

In addition, we are legally obliged to provide information to the following authorities upon request. These are standard setters, the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS), criminal prosecution authorities, authorities that prosecute administrative offences subject to fines and the tax authorities.

This data is disclosed on the basis of our legitimate interest in combating misuse, prosecuting criminal offences and securing, asserting and enforcing claims provided that your rights and interests in the protection of your personal data do not prevail.

Planned data transfer to third countries

A transfer to third countries is not planned, otherwise the corresponding legal prerequisites will be created. In particular, you will be informed about the respective recipients or categories of recipients in accordance with the legal requirements.

Security

ProCert uses technical and organisational security measures in order to protect the data provided to ProCert against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. The effectiveness of our security measures is checked and the measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Basic/necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the functioning of our website. This is, for example, the allocation of anonymous session IDs to bundle several queries on a web server or the error-free functioning of registrations and orders.

These cookies do not store any information that permits personal identification of the visitor. The information collected with the help of these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous.

The consent or rejection of cookies - also for web tracking - can be explained via the settings of your web browser. In this case, however, the functionality of the website may be impaired (e.g. when ordering). Your browser also offers a function to delete cookies (e.g. delete via browser data). You can find further information on this in the operating instructions or, as a rule, under Settings of your Internet browser.
