What do I have to notify ProCert of?

Answer

You are invited to notify us of any changes to key positions and portal users so that we can change portal access. You must also notify us of any changes relating to significant modifications to activities, new production lines, etc., must be reported.

As your certification body, we also need to be informed of potential critical procedures or incidents. The following incidents must be reported to ProCert:

  • When there are potential and/or confirmed risks to product integrity
  • Force majeure events (e.g. disruption of essential resources/services, natural disasters, losses, emergencies, crises) that directly affect product supply
  • all product withdrawals and product recalls (definition of recall: any action aimed at the return of an unsuitable product by customers and end users)
  • any situation where the regulatory authority insists on action due to product safety or legality issues (e.g. an enforcement notice)
  • legal proceedings relating to the safety or legality of the product
  • negative media reports about product safety
  • any food safety incident that could harm a consumer.

What can happen if I do not report certain information?

Answer

If certain information is not reported, measures may be taken that could lead to suspension of certification or additional costs. Compliance with this reporting obligation is essential. Please ensure that it is implemented in order to avoid potential problems.

What incidents must be reported to the standard holders?

Answer

The company must actively inform ProCert of any changes, serious incidents or decisions by the authorities that could compromise its ability to meet the certification requirements or represent a potential or actual threat to the QualiIPE label.
